Wellness Tourism Association Unveils New “WTA Annual Award”

The Wellness Tourism Association (WTA) held its second annual meeting of membership at Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Arizona, May 29-30, 2019, to unveil the WTA Annual Award (WTAAA). The new Annual Award will be showcased once each year to honor an organization, company or individual that has successfully launched and implemented a wellness project or initiative in keeping with the association’s stated mission “to shape and support sustainable wellness tourism for the global good.” The award is open to WTA members and non-members alike.

To find the contestants, WTA members make nominations and the WTA Board of Directors vote to assemble a group of finalists. Association membership will then vote from the list to select a winner. Nominees will be asked to provide information on their project or initiative for members to review. There is no entry fee.

Some restrictions will apply. WTA members will not be able to nominate themselves but could nominate each other. Although members will have the opportunity to present an unlimited number of nominees for the first year, at least.
